Larry was recently honored as a winner of the annual RE/MAX Northern Illinois Rising Star Award.  This award goes to RE/MAX agents who are new to the industry, who have held their real estate license for less than 18 months, and yet also qualify for the RE/MAX 100% Club.  In 2005, members of the 100% Club earned four times as much as  the typical real estate sales associate member of the National Association of Realtors, according to the 2005 NAR Members Profile.

Leibovitz, 53, ranked number one in sales among this year’s class of Rising Stars.  His sales productivity, with 50 transactions closed, was the greatest ever recorded in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois region by an agent eligible for this award.  A former equity trader, as well as a retailer, Leibovitz is a resident of Long Grove, Ill.

“I was looking for a new field to conquer, and RE/MAX offered the most potential.  I feel as if my financial background has been a major asset for me in making the transition to real estate because I understand the investment implications of buying a home,” Leibovitz said. 

He also credits much of his initial success to his ability to generate business over the Internet making use of the regional RE/MAX website, www.illinoisproperty.com.
